Two Dark Angel Stirke Forces were deployed to Demaron Secundus, a key agricultural world, to aid the Imperial Commander and his PDF in theri defense against a Tau invasion. More importantly, they were sent to investigate reports of Fallen activity advising the Tau forces.

Almost immediately it becams apparent the the Tau were pawns in a much larger scheme hatched by the enigmatic Eldar, and if there was Fallen involvement it was at that level. The Eldar were apparently seeking to reopen a major Webway long dormant on the planet, and a smaller one on the third moon in the system. Tactical and Strategic advise was definately being provided by the Traitors, though what they seek to gain from the opening of the portal, other than the loss of an entire subsector to starvation and the tying up of Dark Angel Forces, can only be guessed at.

Task Force Resolution was able to defeat the Eldar first Eldar attempt at the smaller Webway, and captured Fallen 389 in the process, but the final battle on Demaron Secundus has still to take place. Although delayed in having to deflect Imperial investigations into the mysterious "advisors" the Eldar were following, the Strike Force on the planet was still able to capture and interrogate the Eldar Farseer leading the invasion. Under "duress" he revealed that the Webway was opening and the Ulthwe invasion was about to commence. If able to establish a foothold, the Ulthwe would be impossible to remove, and the planet, and entire sub-sector, would fall.

SET UP

The Game will be a Dark Angel Force vs. an Eldar Force (with Fallen advisor).

The Battle will be played using escalation rules. Eldar forces will enter the game from the webway portal terrain piece. Eldar forces will attempt to defend this piece while the Dark Angels attempt to destroy it. Placement and Rules for the destruction of the feature will be worked out by both sides before the battle.

An Eldar victory results if all DA units are wiped out, or all DA units capable of the destruction are destroyed (and the Webway is still in Eldar control).

The Dark Angels can achieve a victory by destorying the webway, wiping out all the Eldar, or holding the Webway for a predetermined number of turns. Dark Angels can acheive minor victories for capturing any designated Fallen.
